This adorable piece is made entirely of wool by Kerry O'Gorman at Birds Edge Studio. The fibres are worked with a very sharp, barbed needle which locks the scales of the unspun roving together, thus making it possible to 'sculpt' into a form. The body has a wire armature and the feet are wool covered wire as well. The only adhesive used is to secure it to the base which says, "Hope is the thing with feathers that perches on the soul - and sings the tune without the words and never stops - at all. - Emily Dickinson.
